Whether you simply want to get the clutter off of your floors and furniture and keep it in some semblance of an organized state or you want to make a splash displaying treasured objects while making a design statement on your vacant wall space, cube shelving can be the answer. From cardboard boxes stacked on their sides to designer units made of luxurious materials, there is something out there for just about everybody.
Storage cubes are made in a wide variety of sizes, so take inventory of the number and type of items you want to store. Then you can find cube shelves in sizes appropriate to them. You can mix and match sizes for efficiency, and colors, for example, to generate a particular 'look' that expresses who you are. Form and function all neatly expressed.
Shelf Unit Storage
Probably the most common material from which cube shelving is made is plastic. This material can be molded into a huge array of colors and, of course, shapes. While square modules are most common, you can find stackable modules available in hexagonal shapes to create a beehive sort of effect.

Some people simply get storage crates modeled on old style milk delivery boxes. These, as well as wire storage units, tend to let small items slide through and escape, and so are best suited to storing items of a size larger than the gaps. If you are going shopping for this style of storage unit, it might be worthwhile to measure the items you intend to store in them before you go, and take along the tape measure to the store.
At the upper end of the cube shelving price scale you can find units made of tempered glass. This sort of glass is specially made to be much stronger than ordinary glass. In addition, it's engineered so that if it should break, it won't shatter into dangerous shards, but will break into bits that don't present sharp edges.
Whatever your personal tastes and budget, you can find cube shelving to accommodate them. Whether at a local department store or home center or online, if you do not find just what you want, just keep looking. It's almost certain to show up eventually.
